Coventry is the city of culture for 2021, and as can be seen that culture is “building site”. Swathes of the main precinct shopping area are being remodelled. And it’s not just the precinct, there are many other areas that simply are not ready.

Covid has caused a several months hiatus in the events programme, but given the selection was announced in 2017 it seems incredulous the required ground-works were not completed by 2020 at the very latest, pandemic or not.

Maybe they could repurpose the building works as a ‘live performance art’, though as can be seen the performers are noticeably slacking.
